Monday, 56 minutes, 7.44 miles (.56 miles walking)
I got started a little later than I planned but I really enjoyed this run even with the hot spot/blister on my left big toe and having to make a pit stop at the gym. I ended up finishing strong and absolutely loving it. I did not love losing daylight at the end of my cool down but I did end up finishing a lot farther from my starting spot due to the extra length to get to the gym.
Tuesday, 56 minutes speedwork, 6.98 miles (.59 miles walking)
I decided to make this as close to a track session as possible which by the time I got to the 8th and final 400m, hurt for sure. I probably could have gone faster but I know that I pushed myself and that’s what I want as I ease back into speedwork.
Wednesday, couple miles, 3.09 miles (.55 miles walking)
I did not feel super energetic by the time I got out to the track to get in the run. I did not run speedwork, just brought my stuff with me so I could run right after the faculty meeting and not give myself any excuses. I got it done though and through the run itself did not feel terrible.
Thursday, 56 minutes, 6.46 miles, stationary bike, 5.62 miles (1.56 miles walking)
When a colleague asked me if I could give her a ride home today, I decided to run at the gym (she lives close to my gym) and add on 20 minutes of stationary bike. I felt average during the run. Nothing extraordinary happened. Got it done and hopped over on the bike. I loved cranking out only a mile shorter on the bike in less than half the time that it took to run that distance.
Friday, 56 minutes, 7.06 miles, (3.03 miles walking)
I enjoyed the slightly lower temperatures. That made the run itself so much better. Other than that, everything felt average about this run. I love getting good runs in the book.
Saturday, long run, 13.11 miles (3.16 miles walking)
I felt great throughout this run and could definitely have run faster if I desired. We talked so much throughout the run that it felt like it flew by. Even though we talked so much, it still felt natural when we got quiet for the last mile or so. I feel so incredible to have such a wonderful running partner.
Sunday, streak run, 1.70 miles, stationary bike 13.30 miles ( miles walking)
The run felt average as it should since I got a mile in just to keep the streak going. The ride felt fantastic. It felt longer though because I did not bring my next Runner’s World magazine so I had to ration it.
